Cressfield Caravan Park is located eight miles over the Scottish border in Dumfries & Galloway, a region of immense natural beauty with many places of historical interest from ancient stone circles and chambered cairns to medieval castles, Border Reiver’s pele towers and grand country houses.

Lovers of Literature
Cressfield Caravan Park is on the edge of the village of Ecclefechan famous for links with writer Thomas Carlyle, whose birthplace "The Arched House" is now a National Trust tourist attraction in Ecclefechan and is open to the public from May to September.

Scotland’s great poet and romantic Robert Burns was also born in the area and composed a song entitled ‘The Lass O' Ecclefechan’.
